Biography: Robert's theatre work includes Seasons at Edinburgh, Derby, Plymouth and Newbury. Extensive work London's Theatre Royal Stratford East and The Orange Tree at Richmond.
For two years was joint artistic director of Southern Lights at the New End Theatre, Hampstead.
Television work includes: Four series of Jeeves and Wooster in which he played Tuppy Glossop; Piggy Garstone in The House of Elliot; a year in Casualty as General Manager, Simon Eastman; and three series of Richard Harris's award winning Outside Edge in which he played Roger Dervish, a performance for which he was nominated for Best Comedy Actor in the 1994 British Comedy Awards. Robert was Sam Mountjoy in John Sullivan's new comedy drama series Roger, Roger for the BBC, and appeared with Neil Pearson, Nick Berry and Warren Clarke in the BBC drama, The Mystery of Men.
New television work includes two new BBC dramas; Take a Girl Like You and Evelyn Waugh’s Sword of Honour, and Robert can soon be seen in a new BBC sitcom, Office Gossip, with Pauline Quirke, as well as a new feature film Arthur’s Dyke.
