Biography: Joanna's theatre credits include The Rivals and Dear Antoine at the Chichester Festival Theatre, The Family Reunion and Uncle Vanya at the Royal Exchange Manchester. Olivia in Twelfth Night at the Ludlow Festival, Breaking the Code and The Cherry Orchard at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. A recent stage appearance was David Storey's Stages directed by Lindsay Anderson at the Royal National Theatre and most recently she played Hester in Terence Rattingan's The Deep Blue Sea at the Theatre Royal Northampton.
Her television work includes Sonia in War And Peace, Alice Monroe in The Last of the Mohicans, Elinor in Sense & Sensibility and Mrs De Winter in Rebecca. She also worked on Children of the North and Dennis Potter's Secret Friends. Guest appearances include Inspector Morse, Maigret, two episodes of The Darling Buds of May, The Good Guys, Sherlock Holmes and A Touch of Frost. Most recently on television she played Mrs Gardener in the BBC's adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, Bramwell and Mill on the Floss.
Joanna is also an experienced broadcaster for BBC Radio and records novels for audio cassette.
