John Sergeant is Political Editor for ITV News. Last year he reported on his fifth General Election campaign – his first for ITN. John was the BBC's chief political correspondent from 1992-2000. He joined the corporation as a radio reporter in 1970 and covered stories in more than 25 countries. He worked as a war correspondent in Vietnam, Cyprus, Israel, and Rhodesia. He also regularly reported from Northern Ireland. John is available as an After Dinner Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Celebrity Speaker.
