Biography: Born in Yorkshire, Denis Healey became Labour MP for South East Leeds in 1952. He served as Secretary of State for Defence under Harold Wilson, & later as Chancellor of the Exchequer. In 1992 he became Baron Healey of Riddlesden and took his seat in the
House of Lords.
