A Haunting Halloween with Widdy

Ann Widdecombe cranked up her prime time Tv profile a further notch or two at the weekend with a spooky guest appearance on Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween special.


She appeared as the Ghost of Strictly Past in a dream sequence with Jason Donovan who was struggling to perfect a killer quick-step technique.


Cynics might say that combining Christmas and Halloween into one incredibly contrived piece of promo-puff was pushing it a bit. It clearly worked for Jason though. His Bewitched routine dazzled the judges and earned the highest score of the evening. It also upped Widdy’s credentials as one witchy woman.


Away from the dressing up box she’s still a fearsome political commentator. You can see in action in An Audience With Ann Widdecombe at the Swansea Grand Theatre on Thursday November 10 when she will be in conversation with irrepressible political blogger and broadcaster Iain Dale.
