This dramatisation is based on historical papers documenting the struggle to the death between Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I.
Kate O'Mara appeared on television for many years, notably in The Brothers, Dr Who, The Main Chance, Triangle and Howard's Way, Dynasty and Absolutely Fabulous. Most recently Kate appeared in The New Adventures of Robin Hood and Bad Girls.
