Description: Love Letters chronicles the lives, loves, triumphs and tragedies of Andrew Makepeace Ladd the 3rd and Melissa Gardner through their correspondence spanning more than a generation. Although possessed by an irresistible mutual attraction, this pair of star-crossed lovers live their lives mainly at a distance, from 2nd grade to seniority, writing frequently over the 40+ years the play covers. It is a tale of youthful passions, bold behaviour, stupidity, blind jealousy, but ultimately and tragically one that proves the old adage that the course of true love never did run smoothly.
